How We Make a Difference
The Royal Inland Hospital Afternoon Auxiliary has been serving our community for decades, providing essential support to healthcare programs and creating meaningful opportunities for community engagement.
Through our thrift shop, gift shop, and dedicated volunteer network, we've been able to make a significant impact on patient care, community services, and environmental sustainability.
Since 1980 the Auxiliary has donated over 7 MILLION DOLLARS to the Royal Inland Hospital for patient care!
An EEG measures electrical activity in the brain using small, metal discs (electrodes) attached to the scalp. An EEG can be used to help diagnose and monitor a number of conditions affecting the brain.
Our Five Year Commitment
In 2019 the Auxiliary pledged $1,650,000.00 to the Hospital Foundation
$1,000,000.00
Designated for the Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Substance Use Unit (CAMHSU) in the new Gaglardi Tower.
This unit provides in-hospital assessment and treatment for children and youth with psychiatric symptoms such as mood disorders, psychiatric symptoms or anxiety disorder.
AND
$650,000.00
Designated to support the substantial renovation of the Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PAR).
It opened in July, 2024. This state of the art facility offers immediate post operative care, with an optimized layout that enhances both patient care and staff experience.
